While there have been other versions of Call of Duty for Android/iOS devices in the past, but this one is going to be special. Given that of late games such as PUBG and Fortnite have found immense success, Call of Duty too, is aiming towards that market.

Call of Duty for Android/iOS: When Will It Release?

Only a limited number of details about Call of Duty for Android/iOS are available at the moment. The game was officially announced at the Game Developer’s Conference 2019 last week. The game is being created in collaboration with Tencent.

As of now, all that we know is that the game is going to follow a free-to-play model. Moreover, we also know that there will be a multiplayer mode. This multiplayer-only game is a hint that Activision and Tencent might be working towards creating Call of Duty: Mobile to be a PUBG Competitor.

Is Call of Duty: Mobile Going to be a Fortnite/PUBG Competitor?

Activision/Tencent who are developing the game have not clarified the exact nature of the game. However given that these battle royale games have become immensely popular, it appears that Call of Duty too might try to have a slice of that cake.

Furthermore, EA too, is tapping the same markets with Apex Legends. We will have to wait to see the exact nature of the game but we won’t be surprised if Call of Duty: Mobile comes out as another PUBG.

Release Date for Call of Duty for Android/iOS

As of this writing, the release date for the game has not been specified. However, we can expect Call of Duty: Mobile, the latest Call of Duty  game to release sometime in Summer 2019. This could be late Q2 or early Q3 of the year. Stay tuned for more!
