UFC 244: Why Might Diaz vs Masvidal Get Cancelled?
Jorge Masvidal has had a long career in UFC and over the years he has picked up several injuries. It appears that one of these injuries has aggravated (most likely his knee) which might lead to him being pulled out of the UFC 244 main event. As of now the exact extent of his injury remains unknown – but if it is serious enough for him to be not able to participate, the announcement will be made sometime before UFC 243.
This will be a huge disappointment for many if Masvidal plans to pull out. He had the support of a lot of fans, including one Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson who even confirmed that he will be attending UFC 244 at Madison Square Garden to watch this fight.
Who Will Replace Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244?
If Masvidal vs Diaz gets cancelled due to the former’s injury, Jorge Masvidal will be replaced by someone else – now this has led to widespread speculation that Conor McGregor would make his return to fill the void and this might lead into Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz III which was otherwise being speculated for UFC 250. More on this in about a week’s time! Stay tuned.
