Andre Iguodala has been garnering a lot of interest by most of the NBA teams after the Memphis Grizzlies refused to buy out his contract. The Grizzlies are confident that other NBA teams would offer then deals for Iguodala and it is likely to happen soon.

A lot of teams including the Celtics, 76ers, Clippers and Lakers are interested in signing a deal with Andre Iguodala. The Grizzlies would ask for a high price which includes either some high profile players or a few future first-round picks. Boston Celtics are the team which needs Iguodala the most and hence a deal with the Grizzlies is kind of imminent.
Boston Celtics needs Andre Iguodala
Andre Iguodala is one of the best defensive player in the NBA with a lot of experience. He was one of the main reason why the Golden State Warriors totally ruled the NBA for the past five years. Iguodala will be a great addition in the Boston Celtics who doesn’t have much competition in the NBA Eastern Conference.
The Celtics already have Kemba Walker and adding Iguodala in the mix can improve their contending chances in NBA 2019-20 season by a big margin. Also, Iguodala can improve the locker room atmosphere of the Boston Celtics which was a mess during the time of Kyrie Irving.
The Celtics can Offer Players, Not Picks to Grizzlies
Memphis Grizzlies are confident that they would receive a lot of trade interest for Andre Iguodala and hence they took the risk of not buying out his contract. It might be true and they would ask for some first-round picks in exchange, but if the other teams decided to delay the Iguodala, the Grizzlies won’t get in return.
It is why the Celtics would offer them their high profile players instead of future picks as they also need a team rebuilding for the upcoming years. The Celtics are thinking to trade out Gordon Hayward and maybe he could be exchanged for Andre Iguodala with the Grizzlies.
