    Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor have been rivals for quite some time now. The two had an intense fight in the Octagon which Khabib won. However, later, the fight spilt beyond the ring and both the men involved had to be suspended for a while. The Khabib vs McGregor rivalry, however, continues on Twitter.

    Khabib vs McGregor took an intense turn on Twitter as some very nasty words were traded between the two. Things got so bad that UFC had to intervene to cool the two down.

    McGregor calls Khabib’s Wife ‘Towel’, Khabib Responds by Calling Him a ‘Rapist’

    Here’s what has been going on between Khabib vs McGregor on Twitter. McGregor posted pictures from Khabib’s wedding celebrations where he called his wife a ‘towel’ because of the way she was dressed. Following this offensive and racist Tweet, McGregor was met with a lot of backlash leading to him deleting the Tweet.

    Khabib responded to it, taking the Khabib vs McGregor twitter war to the next level. Khabib made references to the allegations of sexual assault that McGregor is facing in Ireland, calling him a “rapist” and posting a photo of McGregor along with a woman.

    UFC Boss Dana White Upset with Khabib vs McGregor Twitter War

    Dana White is rather upset with the two men. He stated that:

    “The ongoing situation has escalated to a level that is unacceptable. As such, we are taking the necessary steps to reach out to both athlete camps and this situation is being addressed by all parties internally.”

    Earlier, Dana White, during an interview had commented on the possibility of some big names returning to the Octagon in 2019. This included the likes of Brock Lesnar as well as Khabib and McGregor.
