Conor McGregor has been away from the UFC scene for quite some time now. However, the Irishman might just be on his way to make a comeback in the octagon. His next challenger is likely to be Justin Gaethje, who has been calling McGregor out of late. It will be interesting to see if these two go head to head soon.
Let us take a closer look at Conor McGregor and will he accept the challenge issued by Gaethje?
Justin Gaethje Issues Challenge to McGregor
Known as one of the most fierce and reckless brawlers of the UFC, Gaethje has been a respectable name in the lightweight division. Of late, he has changed his style and has become a more patient fighter. He has recently had two one-punch knockouts, which speak a lot for his improvement! Gaethje has now challenged Conor McGregor to a fight, stating ‘I would definitely love to f*ck him up’.
Currently ranked 5th, Gaethje said he wants to fight the better names in the company and McGregor, ranked third, is one of the biggest names in UFC.
When Will McGregor vs Gaethje Happen?
As of this writing, McGregor vs Gaethje is still on the cards but has not been officially confirmed. For this, first McGregor needs to agree and then the UFC needs to decide on a PPV event where the fight between the two can take place. By all estimates, if it happens, expect it in mid-July or early-August.
