Fans thought that tweet from verified account @NXonNetflix revealed about the release date of Black Mirror: Bandersnatch. The tweet revealed that the fifth season was set to release in December 2018. But the tweet was deleted later.
It turned out that it wasn’t the release date of Black Mirror Season 5, but the interactive movie Bandersnatch. This was similar to the time when the standalone episode “White Christmas” was released by Netflix back in December 2014.
The fourth season of the show came out in December 2017. But the fans don’t want to wait till the year’s end for new episodes. Black Mirror: Bandersnatch is said to be more complex than typical episodes of the show. It features multiple endings and users get multiple choices which will lead them to different paths throughout the movie.
Writer and creator Charlie Brooker said that they underestimated the efforts put in for making the movie. It was very challenging, difficult and complicated.
