Adam Warlock might possibly appear in Avengers Endgame and this speculation has recently spruced up. But, this is not the first time that Marvel has planned for the film version of the comic. Last year, James Gunn hinted about Adam Warlock’s role and look in the MCU.
Gunn is the former director of the Guardians of the Galaxy series. So, before Gunn was forced to leave the franchise, he had planned something beyond the franchise for the superhero.
Adam Warlock in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3
-Adam Warlock will NOT be in Avengers 4 (and I've never said he will be in Vol. 3).
-GotG Vol. 3 will be set AFTER Avengers 4.
-No, I will not give any hints on the Easter Eggs.
-Yes, all of the Guardians now understand Groot, as in IW.

And even though MCU and Gunn have said their goodbyes to each other, this possibility could actually come true. In May 2018, Gunn started an entire Twitter thread throwing light on some fan theories. And Gunn has said that Adam Warlock would not be in Avengers 4. (The name was not disclosed then).
He also revealed that Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 will be released after Avengers Endgame. But the question is if these plans are still concrete after Gunn’s exit. And it takes a lot of time and effort to make interconnected movies. Hence, it is highly unlikely that those Adam Warlock in Avengers Endgame would be cancelled.
Who is Adam Warlock and What is his connection to Avengers Endgame?
There is heavy speculation about Adam Warlock’s feature in Avengers Endgame. This is because of his strong connection with the Infinity Stone Gauntlet and Thanos in the comic books. And Adam Warlock was a highly important superhero in the story which ultimately led to Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers Endgame.
Adam Warlock was initially introduced as ‘Him’ in Fantastic Four in 1967. Him was an artificial piece of being who was gives the Soul gem so that he can protect ‘Counter-Earth’. And later, he went on to be known as Adam Warlock in 1972.
