Blizzard has created a lot of hype after it announced that Warcraft 3: Reforged will be launched this year. However, the studio has yet to announce the release date.
Warcraft 3: Reforged is the remaster of Warcraft. The remaster is intended to refresh the popular Real Time Strategy game with improved graphics, dialogue, and animations.
Some fans are questioning that this could be another cash grab by Blizzard. However, let’s take a look at what is new other than the refreshed graphics.
What’s new in Warcraft 3: Reforged
The Warcraft 3: Reforged will feature completely new graphics which are redesigned from the ground up to support 4K resolution. The game will also feature newly voiced dialogue.
The new game will include The Frozen Throne expansion. The players will also have access to the map and mod editors so they can create their own game modes.
Warcraft 3: Reforged and Improved Multiplayer
One of the most notable improvement is the use of Battle.net for multiplayer. Warcraft 3: Reforged will use Battle.net for multiplayer matchmaking including creating a new mode, finding matches and sharing.
The use of Battle.net in Warcraft 3: Reforged also increases the possibility of the addition of new players to the Warcraft community.
Blizzard is also working to improve the unit pathfinding mechanism to make it more intuitive and enhanced so that players do not lose the match because reinforcement took to long to reach the battleground.
Can I play the original Warcraft 3?
Blizzard has removed the Warcraft 3 from its store but the if you buy the remastered version it will come with a copy of original Warcraft 3.
Warcraft 3: Reforged Release Date
Blizzard has not cleared the launch date of the game but it is expected to hit the stores in 2019. If you cannot wait that long then keep your eye on the beta programme.
