Visual Concepts and 2K sports have once again joined hands to launch their latest 2K series basketball game. NBA 2K20 will be the 21st game in the popular 2K game series based on the National Basketball Association(NBA).
The last version NBA 2K19 was released in September 2018 and it is almost time to update for the current year. Let us see all the information you need to know about the latest NBA 2K20 game.
What’s new in the Game?
One of the most popular speculations is that NBA 2K20 will feature a whole new women’s basketball team. The Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) is about to make a debut in this year’s NBA 2K game. Renee Montogomery who plays for Atlanta Dream in WNBA has confirmed the reports on Twitter.
As for the gameplay, NBA 2K20 will improve a lot over the previous versions of the game series. The basketball physics will be enhanced and the off-ball tangibility issues will be fixed. The in-game haircut will also be made free in NBA 2K20 edition.
NBA 2K20 Covers
One of the most popular reasons for the popularity of NBA 2K series games is the various covers it releases across major countries. The most popular players from NBA are featured over the game covers which will highlight NBA 2K20 over other games such as Madden 20.
Damian Lillard, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Anthony Davis, D’Angelo Russell, Zion Williamson, Dwyane Wade, Dirk Nowitzki, and Allen Iverson are the top contenders for this year’s NBA 2K20 special cover feature. Last year Lebron James had a special edition cover, but given his performance, there is very less chance for him to be on the NBA 2K20 cover.
2K Sports will release a special demo called The Prelude which lets the games try out some parts of the game before its full release. NBA 2K20 Prelude could be launched in August before the game arrives. For those who will purchase the physical version of the NBA 2K20, will get additional gift items. It will include a poster, sticker sheet, wristband to promote NBA 2K20 disc sales.
Game Release date
Even though there is no confirmed release date, we all are expecting NBA 2K20 to arrive in the second week of September like every year. NBA 2K20 will reportedly have two releases, a pre-order deluxe version, and another standard global version. There will be around a gap of 4 to 5 days just like the previous year between the two release dates. You should wait for the upcoming Steam spring sale 2019 to prebook NBA 2K20 to get the best deals.
NBA 2K20 Price
The standard version of NBA 2K20 will cost around $59.99 while the deluxe version could be priced as high as $99.99 during the first launch. NBA 2K20 will be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch. There are very fewer chances that upcoming NBA 2K20 works on the older consoles such as PS3 or Xbox 360.
NBA 2K20 Mobile Version
Just like last year, NBA 2K20 will also be released on mobile around the same. NBA 2K20 mobile version will run on iPhone, iPad and Android smartphones. It will be a huge downgrade when it comes to the small screen, due to technical limitations. The mobile version of NBA 2K20 will miss most of the features and could cost around $7.99 with other in-app purchase.
