Justice League Dark live-action movies and TV series projects are now in works at Warner Bros and JJ Abrams has been roped in as the director. WarnerMedia and JJ Abrams’s Bad Robot production company had a $250 million deal where the later will produce original series and films for Warner Bros and HBO. It is why both the motion pictures and television divisions of Bad Robot are working on adapting the DC properties on the big screen.

There could be solo movies/series along with ensemble team-up of JLD characters which is confirmed to be in development. Although it is not finalized whether JJ Abrams will direct Justice League Dark projects himself or not, there is no way the Star Wars and Star Trek director will leave such an opportunity.

Justice League Dark Solo Characters and Team-Up

Justice League Dark Solo Characters and Team-Up

Justice League Dark is a group of DC superheroes who deals with magical, mystical and demonical threats which the normal Justice League members (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash and more) are unable to handle. John Constantine is often the leader of the group along with members such as the Changing Man, Madame Xanadu, Deadman, Zatanna, Mindwarp and more.

JLD has time and again added names such as Doctor Mist, Frankenstein, Nightmare Nurse, Princess Amaya, Timothy Hunter, Zauriel and more. However, it is not clear which of these Justice League: Dark characters will get solo adaptation and which of them will part of a group as everything is just at the early stages of discussion until JJ Abrams and Warner Bros comes on a mutual agreement.

JJ Abrams to direct the Justice League Dark Projects?

JJ Abrams to direct the Justice League Dark Projects

JJ Abrams is currently working on an epic sci-fi/fantasy drama for HBO called Demimonde and is searching for a new showrunner for the series. After receiving very bad critics reviews for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the sci-fi director might choose his next project very carefully.

But it won’t stop Abrams from trying his hands at something new and he could be one who directs the Justice League Dark movie and could include cameos from Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman and Robert Pattinson’s Batman. Guillermo Del Toro was working on the same story titled Dark Universe and may he and JJ Abrams can collaborate on the next Justice League Dark projects.
