Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most highly anticipated titles in the gaming industry which is quite obvious because of the developer behind the game.
CD Projekt Red, the developers behind one of the biggest hit The Witcher 3. The Witcher 3 was a hit both critically and financially and received accolades worldwide for story driven gameplay.
The developers of the game have been teasing the Cyberpunk 2077 since 2012, which means the game has been in the development for more than 7 years.
After all the hype, CD Projekt Red finally released 45-minute gameplay footage at E3 2018 which showed off the universe, game mechanics and combat mechanics of the game. The same demo was also done at Gamescom 2018.
Whatever we have seen from the teaser gameplay video of Cyberpunk 2077 is set in a fictional American megacity Night City in the Free State of California which is controlled by mega-corporations.
Cyberpunk 2077 also portrays the cybernetic life of the people, every character in the game seems to be cybernetically enhanced irrespective of their financial capability. The crime and violence in the city allow people in the city to carry a weapon everywhere.
Gamers will get to see a constant gang war and tussle for dominance between people and power.
The plot is driven by the choices players make, this provides a huge replayability bonus to the game.
After releasing the trailer and then a 45 minutes game footage CD Projekt Red has maintained silence over the game’s development and release date.
According to the rumors, the game is targeted towards current gen consoles.
This means that the game will be launched by the end of 2020 because the next-gen console will hit the market in early 2021. CD Projekt Red has confirmed that they will be present at E3 2019 as it is most important to them which could suggest the launch date is close.
