One of Anne Hathaway’s classic movie series is about to get a third installment. But if the rumors are true, Disney might replace Anne with Zendaya in the third installment. Do you want to know what movie we’re talking about? It’s Anne’s cult classic, “The Princess Diaries.” Yes, you read that right. Keep reading to find out more.

Zendaya, on the other hand, has made a name for herself in Hollywood with a number of projects, including a few that really showed what a good actress she is. But the Spider-Man actress began her journey with Disney in 2010 with “Shake It Up” and hasn’t looked back ever since.

Well, there’s no official word yet on whether Zendaya will take over for Anne Hathaway in The Princess Diaries or play a different character. But there are a lot of rumors that Disney might hire Zendaya to replace Julie Andrews in the third movie if she doesn’t come back as Anne’s original co-star.

Industry insider Daniel RPK is said to have said on his Patreon channel that Mia Thermopolis, played by Anne Hathaway, would become the Queen of Genovia in the third installment of The Princess Diaries. Now, nobody knows if the excitement over the new queen will lead to a tragic end for the old one or not. But it’s clear that the princess gets a new job, and according to RPK, she might be of mixed race.

And, well, rumors are going around that Disney is looking at Zendaya for that role right now. But it seems that Disney+ had planned a spin-off of the series years ago in which Mia Thermopolis’ half-sister would be introduced. So, will Daya play that part? We still don’t know.

But nothing is certain yet, except that Aadrita Mukherji is writing the screenplay and, since Garry Marshall died, they are still looking for a new director. Well, Zendaya’s career will take an interesting turn if she gets the part in The Princess Diaries.

How do you think things will go? Would you want to see Zendaya replace Anne Hathaway’s princess character in ‘The Princess Diaries’ when she becomes the Queen? Let us know in the comments section.
