One of Victoria Beckham’s closest friends and actor, Eva Longoria has counted herself as the fifth member of Spice Girls. The American actress and the English fashion designer share an unlikely deep friendship with each other.
Victoria Beckham & Eva Longoria’s Friendship
Considered to be an inseparable duo, Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria have been friends for almost fifteen years. Eva shared anecdotes about her and Victoria’s friendship in an interview. The two first became friends when Victoria’s husband, David Beckham, started playing for the LA Galaxy soccer club.
Back when Victoria and David Beckham moved to Los Angeles, Eva was married to French-American basketball player, Tony Parker. Tony and David were friends and that’s how Eva and Victoria Beckham’s paths crossed. The 38-year-old Eva has nothing but praise for her Spice Girls member friend. Eva is also the godmother to Beckham’s 11-year-old daughter, Harper.
The ‘Desperate Housewives’ actor has also joked about being the fifth member of Victoria’s girl band. She titled herself ‘Spicy Spice’ and claimed that she would love to attend a reunion if it had to take place. She said-
“I am secretly the fifth, Spicy Spice. So nobody’s called me!”
The American actress did not hold back while talking about the English singer and fashion designer. She called themselves “peas in a pod”.
““We were inseparable. I mean, she’s the funniest human being – the loveliest, kindest, most loyal friend you could ever ask for.
“We have sleepovers all the time, mostly at their farmhouse or in London. We usually just blab all night.”
When Victoria Designed Eva’s Wedding Gown
Back in May 2016, Eva Longoria married her third and current husband, Jose Baston in Mexico. Victoria not only played bridesmaid at the wedding but also designed Eva Longoria’s wedding dress. The English singer and designer also took care of the after-party bash for Eva’s wedding. Eva couldn’t stop gushing over Victoria’s gesture.
“She did my civil outfit, my wedding dress and the after-party dress. She brought everything — I mean, she literally carried it with her. Put it on me, buckled my shoes because I couldn’t bend down, zipped up my dress when I got drunk. She was like, ‘I know my role.’ She is that best friend,”
The two besties are certainly inseparable and have set some high goals for female friendships. The Spice Girls singer has hardly ever been seen laughing or smiling in her photographs. Eva’s candid interview about the duo’s incredible friendship has certainly portrayed Spice Girls’ Posh Spice in a new light. The actress was also vocal about how Victoria Beckham’s kindness and loyalty.
“She’s extremely loyal. There’s never a moment I can’t call her, that she’s not available, that she’s not flying to see me, or I’m flying to see her. Or I’m raiding her closet. She gives me motherly advice and business advice,”
From borrowing clothes to sharing life updates over sleepovers, Victoria and Eva are playing the role of girlfriends wonderfully.
