Subsequent episodes are released weekly, but this time the episode will be accelerated due to Sunday’s Super Bowl. We already know what to expect in episode 5. Joel and Elli made it to Kansas City, where rebels ambushed them. They have lost their car and have to find a way out of the city.
Plot of The Last of Us episode 5
After having to enter Kansas City on the trail of Joel’s brother Tommy, Joel and Ellie got into big trouble. They were ambushed by revolutionaries, lost their cars, and had to hide from hostile people. Their leader, Kathleen, is looking for Henry, whom she considers a traitor. She considers the attack on her people as collaborators and orders a search of the abandoned city.
The 5th episode should not lack action, with shooting and explosions in the foreground. At the end of the trailer, we also see a more powerful version of the clicker, i.e., infected with cordyceps – in the game, they were called puffballs. They were mini-bosses, more resistant to damage and harder to defeat. How will Joel and Ellie deal with such an opponent? We will find out when the 5th episode comes out.
