But, who is it going to be? There are a lot of possibilities. And fan theories.

The Battle of Winterfell Predictions

Will Jaime Lannister die in the battle of Winterfell?

The Battle of Winterfell might see death of Jamie Lannister

Jaime has probably received one of the greatest character developments in Game of Thrones. He has done many wrongs, but now he has started following the right path. He started this by leaving his sister and he might have a glorious end in the battle of Winterfell with an emotional backstory before his death. He apologized to Bran, reconnected with Brienne and also knighted her. So we might expect him to meet his end in the battle.

Brienne of Tarth

Brienne is the baddie boss woman of the show. She is a skilled fighter and has proved her loyalty and integrity over the seasons. But, we might see her die in the battle of Winterfell. She has also laid the emotional groundwork, since she recently got knighted by Jaime in the previous episode. If she dies, it will be a huge blow to the fans.

Theon Greyjoy

Theon definitely went from being a villain to a victim of extreme torture. He started gaining his integrity when he saved Sansa from the Boltons and ultimately when he saved Yara from Euron’s capture. He volunteered to protect Bran Stark from the Night King to redeem himself. But, there is a high possibility that he might die protecting Bran. Fitting ending.

Gendry

Gendry had his day/night of fame when he had his steamy sex scene his Arya. Now, Arya could hold her fate in the battle of Winterfell. But, the chances are a little less for Robert’s bastard. Nevertheless, he probably fulfilled his role in the show. He made proper dragonglass weapons for the army, he completed Arya’s task and also gave her ‘the night’.

Sansa Stark

Sansa Stark might not survive The Battle of Winterfell

Sansa has become one of the important political figures in Game of Thrones now. She is the obvious choice for the Queen in the North. Sansa will be invariably hiding in the crypts. The crypts are supposed to be safe but there has been an ongoing discussion about the dead starks coming back to life there. If that happens, everyone is doomed and so is Sansa.

Tyrion Lannister

Tyrion is probably out of wits by this time. A few silly mistakes on his part might cost him his life and throw him out of Game of Thrones. First, he fell for Cersei’s lies. There has been a lot of speculation that they did not show the full conversation between Tyrion and Cersei. And Tyrion might betray Daenerys because of a deal with Cersei. But that is speculation. He also faced some flak from Dany when he tried to defend Jaime.

Plus, he would be hiding in the crypts and meet the same fate as Sansa. Unless, someone arrives at the right time to protect them.

Will the Battle of Winterfell claim both Missandei and Grey Worm?

It may be an either/or. They shared a passionate goodbye kiss and made some retirement plans. Which was a clear indication that they will die. The chances of Grey Worm is higher since he will be on the battlefield. But, Missandei’s chances seem bleak too.

Lord Varys

We have already seen pictures and stills from the trailer where Varys is seated in the crypts. So, we are guessing that he would meet an ill fate already. Plus, Melisandre had already made a prophecy that he would die here.

Davos Seaworth

Ser Davos had revealed in the previous episode that he had survived two battles without any combat ability. During the council meeting, they decided that Davos would give the signal to light up the trench. The plan would be to lure the walkers closer and ultimately light the trench which would take down a bunch of them. But, he is likely to become a casualty in case the walkers breach the walls.
