Ronan Farrow, originally named Satchel Ronan O’Sullivan Farrow, was born on December 19, 1987, in New York City, New York.
He was born to filmmaker Woody Allen and actress Mia Farrow. There has been speculation that his true biological father was Frank Sinatra, with whom Mia had an on-and-off relationship for several years.
While growing up, he advanced through school grades and attended courses at the Center for Talented Youth. At the age of 11, Farrow commenced his studies at Bard College at Simon’s Rock.
He subsequently transferred to Bard College, where he achieved his BA in philosophy, becoming the youngest graduate in the history of that institution.
In 2009, Ronan Farrow received his JD from Yale Law School. He later pursued and obtained a PhD in political science from the University of Oxford.

At the beginning of his career, Ronan Farrow was active in humanitarian advocacy. From 2001 to 2009, he held the position of UNICEF Spokesperson for Youth, advocating for the welfare of women and children impacted by the Darfur crisis.
Following this period, Farrow joined the Obama administration as Special Adviser for Humanitarian and NGO Affairs in the Office of the Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Farrow’s journalism career saw a turning point in October 2017, when his investigative report on sexual assault allegations against film producer Harvey Weinstein was published in The New Yorker. In May 2018, The New Yorker published an article written by him and Jane Mayer, which described the physical abuse carried out by New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman against various women.
