Adult Swim released a Super Bowl Pringles commercials featuring Rick and Morty and everyone thought that it will also reveal the release date for the next episode, but nothing of that sort happened. However, there has been a specific reason why Rick and Morty S04E06 is getting delayed and here are more details on the next possible release date update.

Rick and Morty Season 4 Episode 6 delay has been bothering a lot of fans as they don’t understand why the creators will take such a long break despite announcing the opposite. Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon promised fans that they won’t have to wait like earlier as Rick and Morty was renewed for a total of 70 new episodes. While Adult Swim is working on new episodes, there are several instances when the show goes through reshoots.
Spencer Grammer, the voice actress for Summer Smith said that the storyline of next Rick and Morty episodes is changed which happens a lot of times. She has recorded her lines for Rick and Morty Season 4 Episode 6 to Episode 10 and it will take some time to process the animation based on the new changes.

Rick and Morty Season 4 Episode 6 could premiere on April 5, 2020, on Adult Swim as the show resumes from the 4-month gap. It is known that new episodes of Rick and Morty are aired on Sundays which gives out April 5, April 12, April 19 or April 26 as the possible release dates. There are also rumors that Rick and Morty 4×06 could air on April 1, but that sounds more like an April fool joke.
