Sam Smith has been making headlines recently. First when they bagged a Grammy for their song ‘Unholy’ with Kim Petras. And second, with their highly questionable outfit at the Brits Awards 2023. Of course, they took the Internet by storm with this fashion statement. Smith rocked an inflatable black jumpsuit with huge shoulder pads, matching gloves, and heels, along with pearl earrings. However, some influential people did not like what Sam Smith wore to the event. One such man is Piers Morgan.
Morgan is known for being highly expressive. It goes without saying that his comments on the ‘I’m Not The Only One’ singer were sooner or later coming. Morgan, who hosts Piers Morgan Uncensored wrote, “Methinks ‘they’ is getting a teeny weeny bit over-thirsty for attention. #BRITs” Needless to say that their outfit helped them stand out. Hence, their fans came forth to defend them and stated that this is acceptable for a pop star and that many stars dress uniquely at such events.

Sam Smith recently won the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance Grammy for ‘Unholy’. Smith wore red high-heeled boots and leather pants, and a crimson shirt with a matching collar. On the other side, Petras wore a little red dress and satanic headgear while performing in a cage surrounded by whip-wielding backup dancers. Many people were upset with Sam Smith and Kim Petra’s shenanigans.

Liz Wheeler, the host of The Liz Wheeler Show, wrote, “Don’t fight the culture wars, they say. Meanwhile demons are teaching your kids to worship Satan. I could throw up.” Texas Senator Ted Cruz wrote, “This…is…evil.” Megyn Kelly said, “First of all, if you are a man, you do not need nipple covers. What are you doing with nipple covers? Nothing’s coming out of that nipple that you need to cover it whatsoever. Okay? So take them off.”
After this, Sam Smith’s dress at the Brits sparked further controversy with many coming forward to slam them.
