The Diana Gabaldon Outlander novel series served as the inspiration for the historical drama television series Outlander. On August 9, 2014, the program had its Starz debut. Ronald D. Moore created the series. The premise of the series was initially set in 1945. The series’s protagonist is Claire Randall, a former world war II nurse. Clair Randall gets transported back in the past to 1743. She falls in love and later marries Jamie Fraser (Played by Sam Heughan), a Highland warrior. The series first aired on August 9, 2014, and the 6th season aired on May 1, 2022.
Outlander Season 7 release date
There was a gap of 2 years between Outlander seasons 5 and 6. The pandemic had delayed production. Season 7 started production in April 2022. It is assumed that the series will release by the summer of 2023 if the filming has concluded. No significant updates for the series have been yet made. The books that Outlander season 7 will cover includes “An Echo in the Bone” and “A Breath of Snow and Ashes.” “A Breath of Snow and Ashes” has been partly covered in season 6.
Outlander Season 7 will have the viewers see the family’s journey in different timelines. The series will now take place in the middle of the American revolution (the 1970s). Claire and Jamie Fraser’s daughter Brianna and her husband, Roger MacKenzie, settle in Lallybroch with their children. Lord John Grey and William, Jamie’s hidden illegitimate son, are involved in the Rebellion on the British side, with Lord John serving in the secret branch of intelligence and William serving in the army; and Young Ian, a nephew of Jamie, is about to experience another abrupt turn in his problematic romantic life.
