Golden State Warriors manager Bob Myers keep on saying that D’Angelo Russell is a key part of their team. He will play with the Warriors in the next and they won’t trade him away anytime soon. Despite that, there are high chances that Russell gets traded in the next few days as nothing is sure in NBA circles. There are many teams interested in Russel as their point guard and here are the potential trade deals with Heat, Suns, Bulls and Timberwolves.
Miami Heat are looking for another star player for their team after they acquired Jimmy Butler from the 76ers. It would be interesting to see how Butler and Russell play together as they both are known for creating troubles in the locker room. Miami has a few future drafts picks and even if it’s not enough Pat Riley can find a way and make the Russell deal possible with the Warriors.
I don’t think anyone realizes how beautiful the Steph Curry/D’Angelo Russell backcourt is. An MVP and a 23 year old All-Star.

Phoenix Suns have Ricky Rubio as their man point guard but he is nowhere close to scoring as D’Angelo Russel. The Suns team is young and developing and with a player like Russell to lead them, they can make it big soon. Devin Booker and DeAndre Ayton combined with Russell can create a powerful trio who with few years of experience can come out on top. Tyler Johnson and other future picks can be given to the Warriors for making the D’Angelo Russel deal.

Chicago Bulls team is young and dynamic, who can easily become the leader of the weak Eastern Conference. D’Angelo Russell is the push needed for the Bulls and they can be the next Raptors in the league. Otto Porter Jr. and Zach Lavine will still need some time to shine and Russell can be the lead during that time. Colby White is a rookie who can be paired with an experienced Butler and the Bulls will have their own power duo. Golden State Warriors can ask for Porter Jr. or Lauri Markkanen and a deal for Russell can be made.
Fun Fact: Kyrie Irving has never recorded over 500 assists for a season. The most he has recorded was last year at 463. D'Angelo Russell in Year 4 with very little talent has recorded 564 assist. Now imagine those assists numbers playing with Steph and Klay

Minnesota Timberwolves will soon need a new point guard as their main star Jeff Teague has gotten slow and old. Teague is 31 years old and had only an average of 13.4 points in the last seasons with the Wolves. D’Angelo Russel would be a perfect fit for the team as they need someone young and dynamic. The Timberwolves can pair Russell with Karl-Anthony Towns and the duo together can make the team a respectable name in the NBA western side.
