Lucifer Season 5 Will Premiere On Netflix On August 21st

We know you might be happy after reading the headline. As most of us were eagerly waiting for the next season of Lucifer. And FINALLY, Netflix has announced that Lucifer Season 5 will premiere on August 21st.

We all have been looking for an update on Lucifer for a very long time and finally, Netflix has given us an answer. In the trailer that was released on June 22, Netflix revealed that the first eight episodes of the final season are coming to the streamer. Lucifer Season 5 will have 16 episodes, half of which will be streaming on 21st August.

Apart from any new footage, what we believed that something was missing in the announcement trailer. The season was previously being advertised as the final set of episodes of the show, but the promo no longer bills it as the “final season”. This comes after there were rumors of Netflix renewing Lucifer for a Season 6. Despite rumors, reportedly, Tom Ellis would be replaced by Vampire Diaries fame Ian Somerhalder.

Meanwhile, showrunner Ildy Modorovich has revealed that the new episodes will see the appearance of God as well as a musical episode. She also teased that the episodes would be some of the longest yet for the former Fox show.
