Will there be a Lucifer Season 5?
The performance of Season 4 is likely to be a factor in deciding the fate of Season 5. The previous season’s conclusion was open-ended, meaning the show can take any direction. That leaves us with some big questions that need to be answered if it makes a return to the screens.
Lucifer’s Season 4 ended on a devastating note, as the devil had to go through some tough times and decide if he should return to Hell or not. Chloe Decker tried her best to stop Lucifer from doing this, but Lucifer had already made his decision. In the closing shot, we saw Lucifer sit on his throne in Hell and look down upon his kingdom.
So Season 5 will show if Lucifer decides to leave Hell once again. There is another theory that Lucifer’s return shall be featured after a time skip.
It was important for Lucifer to return to Hell as his subjects were finding it difficult to manage without him. Dromos was summoned to Earth by Eve, and he became another reason of mischief.
In such a situation, time skip ultimately makes sense. This way, Lucifer would have enough time to re-establish his authority and take care of all the demons as well, before returning to Earth.
