Android 9.0 Pie update is out now in the market. And we are going to tell you whether your LG smartphone is going to get it or now.
When Google pushed out the Developer Preview in March 2018, LG didn’t participate. And that’s why the updates are going to arrive a little bit late for LG. We are quite sure that it won’t be in the first few months of 2019.
While all other major smartphone manufacturers including Motorola, Google, OnePlus have been quite open about their Android 9.0 update, LG has been on the silent side.
Till now, there hasn’t been any announcement by them regarding the update. But thanks to a survey done by gottabemobile.com that we have got a fair bit of idea of when the updates are going to roll in. Here’s the list of smartphones which will get the 9.0 Pie update in 2019.
The List Of Smartphones Getting Android 9 Pie Update
1. LG G7 ThinQ
This is a sure shot. Also, this might be the first LG smartphone to get the Android 9.0 Pie update considering that the beta version has already kicked off in Koreo. G7 ThinQ users are using the Beta version since December 2018.
2. V30/V35/V40/V20
3. LG Q7/Q8/ Q Stylus/ K30
4. G6 and other budget devices maybe.
One thing is for sure that any smartphone released within the last 12-18 months will be getting the update.
We realize that every LG user is stuck on Oreo update from the last two years. But you guys have to understand that these updates are a slow process. Then again, LG is getting a bit lazy or we should say redundant on updating to the modern technologies. But anyways, they will roll in the Pie update later this year.
There’s still no news as to when the update will be out.
