Social media users have criticized Khloé Kardashian for posting a photo of herself lying in a hospital bed after her son was born via surrogate.
The 38-year-baby old’s birth history was explained in the first episode of The Kardashians’ second season, which aired on Thursday, September 22, and footage of the event was made available.
The co-founder of the Good American’s heartbreaking experience of discovering that her ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson, 31, had cheated on her once more and that he had a child with fitness model Maralee Nichols in December was also a major theme of the episode.

Although a surrogate mother gave birth to the baby, viewers later in the episode saw the reality TV star pose for a picture in a hospital bed while appearing to be blissed out.

The new mother was criticized heavily for it and called insensitive by many, claiming that she wasn’t the one who went into labor and gave birth to the child.
One user wrote: “Something is off with people becoming parents via surrogacy and then taking pictures in a hospital bed with a newborn. It’s completely unnecessary. They could have just posted a picture of the baby in its bassinet.”
Another said: The photos of Khloe Kardashian posing laying in a hospital bed with the infant she paid for, as though she did any of the work of gestating and birthing, are grotesque. Surrogacy is exploitation and people who pay poor women for use of their wombs are narcissistic to the core.”
A third commented: “I’m aware there are more important things going on in the world but I need to know why Khloe Kardashian is lying in a hospital bed with her new baby when she had a surrogate.”
A fourth wrote: “Can anyone explain why Khloe Kardashian is lying in a hospital bed with her newborn baby…..THAT WAS BORN VIA SURROGATE??? What the f***?!”

Some other users, on the other hand, defended Kardashian for taking the time to spend time with her new child in a hospital bed after the birth was made public early last month.
One user said: “Why am I seeing people triggered over Khloe Kardashian sitting on a hospital bed? there are other beds in the hospital for the surrogate to lay in I can assure u.”
While another wrote: “Also, I don’t care if @khloekardashian used a surrogate and wanted to have a moment with her new baby in a bed. If she’s staying in the hospital with the new baby doesn’t she deserve to have a bed? Y’all are too judgy…let her live.”

It is now common and generally accepted that using surrogate mothers is safe. Two of Kim Kardashian’s four children, Chicago and Psalm, were born through surrogacy to the older sister of the Kardashian family.
The SKIMS founder reportedly has placenta accreta, a serious pregnancy condition in which the placenta grows too deeply into the uterine wall, which is why she chose to use a surrogate.
Despite the fact that the mother of two never explained why she chose to use a surrogate, a close friend of hers told Heatworld that personal medical considerations “factored into her decisions”.
According to the insider, using a surrogate was also “hugely motivated” by the need to avoid “putting a huge strain on [Kardashian’s] body” with a second pregnancy.
