Early Life
Born in Paris, France, on March 18, 1990, the French model was originally a male child. However, at the age of 16, taking inspiration from the English transgender model Caroline “Tula” Cossey, she completed her transition to female and had gender reassignment surgery.
At 24 years old, she decided to come out as a transgender individual during one of her interviews.
“I went a long time without saying anything about being transgender. I dated a lot and almost forgot about it. I was also afraid of never finding a boyfriend and being perceived as odd, but then I thought, you should just be yourself.”

Rau has achieved fame for being the first trans model to be featured on the cover of Playboy magazine and was awarded the title of Playboy’s Playmate of the Month in November 2017.
