The fifth episode of Game of Thrones is all set to take the story forward from how the fourth episode ended. We’ve seen the army of the North reach King’s Landing and it is here that we will get to see Jaime reunite with his sister and try to convince her to leave. In this episode, Varys will get executed on the orders of Daenerys because he was showing signs of a rebellion. Tyrion tries to convince her but he fails.

Towards the end of Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5, Jaime Lannister and Cersei die together. This will also be the episode where ‘Cleganebowl’ takes place. The Hound and the Mountain face off and they both kill each other.

In the season finale, we see Jon Snow stabbing Daenerys because she was showing signs of being a tyrant and then he surrenders. The high council then decides who the next king of the seven kingdoms should be.

Season 8 Finale: What Happens to Jon Snow?

Given that Jon Snow had killed the ruling monarch, he decides to surrender. The high council names Bran Stark the king of Westeros. The show ends with a final segment where we see Jon Snow going back to the wall. Bran rules along with Tyrion, Ser Davos and Bronn by his side.
