Game of Thrones season 8 episode 6 for which fans were waiting for a long time, has finally arrived. While concluding the 8 years, 73 episodes massive HBO TV show, it was an emotional ride for everyone included. We will know to see how was the last and final episode, how good was the ending. Here is our review for GOT S8E6.
Everything is Rushed
Game of Thrones has such complex lore with so many characters and storylines, but the writers decided to wrap up everyone is 6 episodes. Season 8 of Game of Thrones was heavily criticized, and fans have started hating the show. Everyone thought the Game of Thrones finale would save it, but even it felt rushed, and most of the story arcs were forgotten.
Queen Dany’s death has no Impact
The most shocking moment in Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 6, i.e., the finale episode was the death of Queen Daenerys Targaryen. Jon Snow stabbed Dany with a knife while pretending to kiss her. It should have a huge affect on the storyline, but nothing changed in the Game of Thrones. The Dothraki army and the Unsullied should have started a war, but it made no impact.
Longer but Useless
Game of Thrones season 8 episode 6 was very long with around more than 70 minutes of runtime. It should have wrapped all the remaining story arcs and gave everyone a proper ending. What the makers of Game of Throne were thinking is still a mystery, as most of the episode was wasted in long useless conversations.
A Song of Ice and Fire?
Just as a means to fan service, they included the book ‘A Song of Ice and Fire,’ which Samwell Tarly has helped to write. As everyone though, Sam became a Maester and wrote the story of Game of Thrones. It felt shoehorned and was even filled with jokes in the final Game of Thrones episode.
The Ending was Stupid
The way Game of Thrones ended will become very controversial in the upcoming years. Game of Thrones season 8 episode 6 episode just destroyed years of stories building and wrapped them up in the most unthinkable way. Jon Snow goes beyond the wall breaking his vow, Sansa is the lady of Winterfell, Arya sails into the unknown and Bran the broken is the king of the six kingdoms.
What about the other characters, it felt more of The Starks show ending rather than Game of Thrones ending. The only thing left to see is now the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel series.
