Elon Musk’s time as CEO of Twitter has not gone well by almost any objective measure, from losing money to making sure the site doesn’t work as it should.
A few days ago, a bug in the platform’s API made half of the site’s features useless. This led Elon Musk to give another one of his embarrassing responses to Twitter’s shaky foundations.
And, of course, one of the most well-known problems Twitter has had since Elon Musk took over the company last year is with its employees. The platform has become a revolving door, with employees often quitting or being fired, and sometimes being hired back only to be fired or quit again.
But it looks like things are much worse than we thought. New reports say that Elon Musk’s relationships with Twitter’s staff have gotten so bad that he now has security with him all the time, even when he goes to the bathroom.
And you thought that neither you nor your coworkers liked your boss.

A new report from a source says that things inside Twitter HQ are much worse than any of us thought.
As their source put it:
For someone on the inside, it’s like a building where all the pieces are on fire.
When you look at it from the outside the facade looks fine, but I can see that nothing is working. All the plumbing is broken, all the faucets, everything.
Elon Musk‘s paranoia has led him to hire loyal Tesla engineers to run Twitter, even though they have no experience and don’t know what they’re doing since electric cars and a social media app are two different things.
Maybe that’s why so much of the site went down a few days ago.
But even though he is surrounded by people who support him, Elon Musk seems to be very paranoid.
As the source reported:
Wherever he goes in the office, there are at least two bodyguards – very bulky, tall, Hollywood movie-[style] bodyguards. Even when [he goes] to the restroom.
The source went on to say that they think Musk’s paranoia is all about money. They said that the company has lost so much value that Elon Musk has fired the entire cleaning and catering staff and has even tried to sell office plants to employees to make a quick buck.
Elon Musk, on the other hand, went on Twitter and did his usual song and dance. He completely ignored the claims about bodyguards and instead responded to a report that the app no longer protects users from trolls, fake news, and the victimization of children.
Sorry for turning Twitter from nurturing paradise into place that has … trolls 🧌 pic.twitter.com/HaWl1jPfOm

As well as you’d expect, this went over well with Twitter users.
You can’t deny the social bullying that goes on on twitter especially for kids/teens . What is twitter doing to stop this, and to help when kids/teens are consistently targeted?

You turned it into a place that can’t handle the trolls anymore. Different thing. But you know that, of course.

And the whole thing with the bodyguard just showed many people that Musk is not fit to run Twitter.
The idea that billionaires can run things better than anyone else is dumb

As in like, he’s worried someone will kill him at work?

Anyway, since the presidential election is going on and Twitter is one of the most important news sources in the world, this is probably all fine. How could things go wrong?
