Dragon Ball Super Season 2 release date is still not out even though it has been one year since the first season of the anime ended. Fans of the anime series keep themselves busy with the ‘Dragon Ball Super’ manga and the other promotional anime series ‘Dragon Ball Heroes” plus other DB stuff.

The anime fan base is waiting to see more of Son Goku and the events after Tournament of Power as the second season of Dragon Ball Super returns back on the TV screens. Here are more details on why “Dragon Ball Super” Season 2 release status is delayed as Toei animation studios are busy with other projects.
Dragon Ball Super Season 2 and Manga Chapters Availability
Dragon Ball Super season 2 release will also depend on the manga chapters as the source materials. There are around 58 chapters of the DBS manga released till now and which is not enough for the anime to have a second season. While many of the fan theories believe the lack of manga source as the reasons for the delay in DBS Season 2, it is not true at all.
Toei animation studios, the creator of Dragon Ball Super anime series are not that much depended on the manga chapters. While the season 2 storyline will be inspired by the manga, there is no way it can delay the series as other things are responsible for that.
Dragon Ball Super Season 2 Delayed by Toei Studios
The real reason for the delayed release of Dragon Ball Super Season 2 is that Toei animation is busy with other projects. The anime production takes so much time and Toei has released other series “Dragon Ball Super: Broly” and a new game “Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot” further postponing the 2nd season.
Toei has made a separate animation division for Dragon Ball properties, but there are still so many other projects and they don’t want to rush it. These are some of the main theories explaining the delay behind the release of ‘Dragon Ball Super’ season 2 and there is no way to prove them until an official update comes out.
