The Apple iPhone SE was a success. It created its niche for a smaller footprint with a 4-inch display. It’s successor, the iPhone SE 2, was due for launch soon until the phone was junked by Apple in favor of an iPhone XE.
All this might change, a few days ago an Indian blog: PC-Tablet reported that the Cupertino tech giant is working on a new 4-inch smartphone called iPhone XE.
This is not the first time the an iPhone SE 2 alternative rumors have surfaced on tech web. The abundance of the rumors and evidence suggest that the phone is surely on its way. So we have gathered all the info of the possible new launch.
iPhone XE Specification
The report by PC-Tablet hints that the display size of the Apple iPhone XE would be 4.8-inch instead of 4- inch.
The would pack single-lens and a 12-megapixel front facing camera which is quite an upgrade from the last generation version.
Indian and Chinese supply chains report hints that the it would use an Apple A10 fusion chip and pack 2 gigs of RAM. The older reports have claimed that the phone would come with 32 GB and 128 GB of internal storage.
The iPhone XE would also use a 4.8-inch OLED panel in the front, just like the current generation iPhone SE.
Apple iPhone XE Specs and Features
The phone will get the iPhone X treatment which means it will come with no home button and an edge-to-edge display with a notch featuring a Face ID.
The new version would have an aluminium back which means it would not use Qi-based wireless charging technology.
The report from the PC-Tablet report suggests the iPhone XE will cost $600. A report from February 2018 from a Chinese supply chain, hinted that the phone will be priced around 4,000 yuan. It translates to $630. Interestingly, this price point is awefully close to the iPhone SE.
iPhone XE Release Date
In both 2017 and 2018, the phone was rumoured to be launched. However, we are already in 2019. There are no new launches yet. However, PC-Tablet reports that the iPhone XE is due for release in the third quarter of 2019.
