Let’s face it: clever puns are hilarious and never fail to make us laugh. You would love to hear some funny wordplay on occasion, no matter how hard you try to deny it. We do get to hear cheesy, terrible puns every now and then. But it’s their heinousness that makes us grin while gritting our teeth. Puns, whether good or bad, have the unique ability to both tickle our funny bones and captivate our minds. You only need to pass by the Indian Hills Community Center in Colorado to read some amusing puns. They put up a new road sign with clever puns twice a week. The amusing road signs have made everyone smile, and everyone is looking to the next one.
Who is the genius behind these amusing road signs? It’s Vince Rozmiarek, a Colorado native and volunteer at the Indian Hills Community Center. He made a road sign for April Fools’ Day five years ago. He devised a brilliant joke through a sign to slow down speedsters on the road.
“We have a heavy police presence in the town of Morrison, which is next to Indian Hills, and they run a ton of speed traps. The sign said ‘Indian Hills annexed by Morrison, slow down.’ Many people believed that prank, and the amount of attention it brought was really surprising.”, he narrated.
Since then, the community center has decided to commission Rozmiarek to design amusing road signs to make onlookers smile. Passersby are indeed slowing down and taking their time to read the amusing puns. Rozmiarek has made numerous signs displaying his original pun jokes. But we’ve selected the best and funniest puns from Rozmiarek to brighten your day. All of his amusing road signs can be found on the community center’s Facebook page.
