A 75-year-old British artist Richard Saunders has memorialized his late cat in scenes of a giant topiary garden. The artist describes The Topiary Cat as “a magical creature with superior powers who is wiser than the mere mortals who behold him.”

Artist Richard Saunders digitally transforms foliage into felines in his series, The Topiary Cat.

The ongoing series is inspired by his own cat, Tolly, who sadly passed away five years ago.

His feline friend is now immortalized through his art.

Saunders is a painter, but he learned how to use Photoshop almost two decades ago.

He started the series just for fun, but his images soon went viral, and some people even believed them to be real topiary.

Today, Saunders creates countless surreal images that capture the enchanting adventures of The Topiary Cat.
