In 2019, Miracle Pogue, age 24, and Charles Pogue, age 85, met at a laundromat and became friends right away.
Even though they are 61 years apart in age, they are thinking about IVF to start a family. Charles doesn’t have any children, but he still wants to leave something behind.
A year after they first met, Charles, a retired real estate agent, finally told the nurse how he felt about her and asked her to marry him in February 2020.
According to a source, Charles doesn’t have any children, but he still wants to leave a generation for his wife’s family, even though he’s ten years older than her grandfather.
Miracle says that her mother, 45-year-old Tamika Phillips, and grandfather, 72-year-old Joe Brown, have always been on board with the relationship because they saw how happy the pensioner made Miracle.
Charles used to bring in one item of clothing and only wanted me to serve him,
Miracle said.
After a year of dating, the retired real estate agent fell in love with the nurse. In February 2020, he asked her to marry him.
Even though Miracle knew that Charles was older than her, they had “good vibes.”
I found out in conversation when we asked each other our date of birth, and he said he was born in 1937. When I found out I was in too deep, it was a couple of months in, and I already had feelings for him. He was my baby, and he wasn’t going anywhere,
she said.
Miracle thought he was around 60 or 70 at first because he looked good and led an active life.
She said that age didn’t matter to her and that all that mattered was how their new relationship would go forward.
I don’t care if he’s 100 or 55, I like him for him. My grandad said if I was happy and it’s what I want to do then he’s happy,
Miracle said.
My dad was like ‘hell no ma’am, not at all’. It took a lot of time to convince him but I asked him if he wanted to lose his daughter forever.
Miracle told her father that if he didn’t come to her wedding, he would lose her for good.
I told him I needed his support and to walk me down the aisle. Once he got to meet Charles and talk to him, he loved him,
she said.
Miracle has got a lot going for her. She’s got her life in order, she’s great,
Charles said.
There’s no problem with the age difference,
he adds.
When they got married in July 2022, the couple said it was the best day of their lives.
It looks like Charles doesn’t care much about what people say about him online.
We just let them do their thing. We’re very happy together. We’re looking forward to starting a family together,
he said.
