Fans can’t get enough of God of War, and there is definitely room for another seque after Ragnarok. Being one of the most popular games of Sony, GOW is nowhere near its end.

Will God of War6 be Ragnarok’s sequel?
God of War 6 might not be released as sequel of Ragnarok. At Ragnarok’s end, Atreus goes out to search for the giants. Kratos stays back to help in rebuilding. Everything is settled, and the story can take any turn it wants.
There is a possibility that the sixth iteration of God of War series will revolve around Atreus and his search for the hidden giants instead of Kratos. Ragnarok could be the last of the Norse chapter, and fans could see a new location next.
Cory Barlog mentioned that he earlier considered both the Egyptian and Mayan mythologies for God of War. But then he finally decided upon the Norse theme. The game now hints that some giants are already out of the Nine Realms altogether.

In 6th installment of the God of War franchise, fans might see a new setting. Fans are excited and can’t wait to see what’s next. Some fans have even come up with fantastic theories.
One of these theories suggests that as Kratos is the savior figure, a lot could be done with this. Some mortal or a lesser god could come up to Kratos and ask for his help. According to the theory, some people have become power-hungry and paranoid as Kratos has defeated two different pantheons, the Norse and the Greek. If he continues on this path, Kratos will become a hero.
