Veteran director James Burrows, in his latest memoir, Directed By James Burrows, divulged some behind-the-scenes casting secrets that could have potentially changed the course of the beloved ’90s sitcom, “Friends”.

In a surprising revelation, Burrows admitted that there were discussions about recasting Helen Baxendale’s role as Emily, Ross Geller’s (played by David Schwimmer) whirlwind love interest.
