The former Chief Trade Negotiator of China has lashed out at the handling of his country through which it would risk the tensions of trade with the United States.
The former negotiator further added that the administration is unable to think in the depths of the matter about the approach it is pursuing related to the conflict.
Long Yongtu who is a former minister of foreign trade department of China stated on Sunday at a conference that in the talks with the United States, China has been driven politically way too much.

He also said that the country must go in for a pragmatic approach, taking into consideration the current realities of the economy which are due to the trade war.
According to a report by the South China Morning Post Mr Long further had stated at the annual conference of Media Outlet Caixin that if the country has people who are always focusing on the politics and talking about it in the negotiations then it is impossible for China to close a deal.
He has added in the conference that he feels the country does not think deeply enough.
He further asked out that when the country is in dire need to import the soyabeans from the United States, then from the beginning why they picked out the soyabeans.
He said that this did not conclude deep thinking in any manner.
He particularly targeted by the soyabeans issue, a sector which is majorly affected by the on-going trade war between China and the United States.
The largest importer of soyabeans in the world in China and regardless of this, the country has imposed a 25 percent tariff on the imports of soyabeans from the United States.
The country is now relying on Brazil for the imports of soyabeans to meet the domestic needs. And Long has pointed out to this very decision to denote that the policies are not guided properly and lack proper thoughts given to it.
