“I need this shirt before Walmart realizes what they have done. Find the hidden word.”: Walmart takes down the t-shirt having a “hidden” curse, following customer complaints

Walmart put a “swear” in their “sportswear.”

They took a certain t-shirt off the shelves after a customer pointed out that a very rude word was written on it by mistake.

The not-meant-to-be-controversial clothing was brought to light by a tweet that has been seen more than 2.5 million times.

I need this shirt before Walmart realizes what they have done. Find the hidden word,

joked the poster, which also showed a picture of the green shirt in question.

At first glance, the T-shirt doesn’t seem too bad: It has a typical recycling slogan with the word “RE” in capital letters followed by the words “cycle,” “use,” “new,” and “think” in lowercase.

But when you look at it more closely, you can see that the first letters of each word spell the word “c*nt.”

Walmart quickly took the shirt off the shelves because it accidentally said a bad word.

This was not intentional, and the T-shirt has been removed,

a spokesperson for the retail giant told Newsweek.

Walmart

The t-shirt, which was made by the George fashion brand, which is owned by Walmart, was reportedly only sold in Canadian stores for $5.

Even though the eco-friendly clothing may not be sold in stores, it is said to be available on Amazon and elsewhere for around $20.

The sophomoric people on social media had a great time with the hidden C-word.

Finally. The perfect shirt,

said one viewer while another added,

Laughed out loud when I spotted the hidden word. Now I want that tee shirt too. 😉

So THIS is why C U Next Tuesday was trending,

said one viewer in reference to the acronym for the swear word.

Some people on social media who believe in conspiracies thought the T-shirt slogan was on purpose, like a hidden swear word.

What’s the over/under that whoever designed that shirt knew exactly what they were doing?

said one curious person.

This is not the first time Walmart has taken back clothes with offensive words on them.

In 2017, a controversial T-shirt that called for violence against journalists was taken down from the website of a discount store after a newsgroup asked for it to be taken down because of “today’s vitriolic political and ideological environment.”
