Diaz, however, seems to be on the back-foot here as he is returning after a three-year hiatus from fighting in the octagon. Fans doubt if he is going to be as good as he once was.

If Nate Diaz loses, he’ll probably lose a chance to fight the top guys like Conor McGregor or Khabib Nurmagomedov which has been the hype of late. This would also mean that thoughts of retirement would begin to creep in. Moreover, it would mean that Pettis would suddenly be in the limelight and doors will open for him to face the top stars!
