Benton Blount, America’s Got Talent slim has reportedly lost his gig as the opening act on Billy Gibbons ZZ Top Guitarist concert tour after he shared his post related to pro-Trump Facebook has got him banned temporarily from social media.
Blount had to perform in four shows in the seven-shot slot, and this is when he came to know that he has been kicked off from the tour according to the reports made by Greenville News from South Carolina.
The post the led to this misshapen showcased Blount wearing a red hat with Make America Great Wrote on top of it with ‘I Voted’ sticker on the Election Day where he was holding a drink along with a Chick-Fil-A sandwich. The photo was captioned with “Someone reading this must have been offered quite a lot of times. My work here is completed! #Vote.”
Blount has revealed to the Greenville News this Thursday that he never had a word with Gibbons on the personal basis and the only thing that happens is he often shares the themes charged with politics and cracks jokes on his social podcast page regarding politics.
The representatives of Gibbons were immediately contacted by Columbia’s State newspaper, but they did return the requests regarding the comment. Reasons were not stated for the removal of Blount from the tour the only thing that was mentioned was the post didn’t meet the standards of the community. In Blount’s Facebook page there were several posts which showcased Blount’s support for Trump along with other Republicans by lashing out on liberals and Democrats.
The musician has promised that this incident didn’t curb him from telling him what he thinks about and how should things be in America.
Blount featured as a contestant back in 2015 on America’s Got Talent but Paul Zerdin, the ventriloquist, won the award.
