Stranger Things season 4 is definitely returning to Netflix and Shawn Lecy, the Executive producer has confirmed this. Although Netflix has not confirmed anything from its side, the EP said that the fourth season would return.

But, this good news has come with a bad one too. Because Stranger Things season 4 might be the final season of the series. When Stranger things had made its debut, Matt and Ross Duffer (creators) had revealed in an interview that their original plan was to make four seasons. Hence, Stranger Things season 4 might just be the last season. They had also added that the characters would have aged a lot by then and they have to be adjusted according to the story. And the Duffer brothers felt that they could keep doing that for four installments.

    Stranger Things season 4 plot

According to the creators, the fourth season will show the stories outside Hawkins. And this fits the story perfectly because Will’s family and Eleven moved out of Hawkins in the season finale of the third season.

The fourth season will make its re-run with the former stars of the series. We will have Millie Bobby Brown in the lead as Eleven.

And the creators have also spilled that Jim Hopper is officially alive! He survived the blast and will have a comeback in the final season.

In a podcast, Matt Duffer revealed that they wanted to give a darker end to Jim Hopper. “We wanted to have Jim Hopper have a sacrifice moment like Han Solo,” Matt said.

Is there any release date for the final season?

    Final Season Release Date

The previous season had just released on 4 July 2019. So, the fourth season will probably take some time in making its release. But, the show has usually released between July to October. So, we can expect the final season to drop before October 2020.
