Rose McGowan has come out in support of Britney Spears after her explosive 24-minute court statement in Los Angeles.
The Charmed star and activist showed up on Tucker Carlson Tonight without being asked to talk about Spears. Rose McGowan is one of many celebs who have said they stand by Spears. But some of the singer’s fans didn’t like that the actress was on the conservative talk show.

Spears released a statement in which she talked about the horrible things that have happened to her since 2008 when her father Jamie took control of her money and public image because he was worried about her mental health.
The Toxic singer said in her story that she was forced to perform against her will and that she was not allowed to see a doctor to get her birth control device taken out.
McGowan posted a tweet to show her support for Spears right after the singer spoke in court.
Britney Spears has every right to be angry,
McGowan wrote.
How would you feel if your life was stolen, dissected, mocked? I pray she gets to live [her] life on her terms. STOP CONTROLLING WOMEN. #FreeBritney,
she added.

The actress also defended Spears on Tucker Carlson Tonight, which some fans saw as a way to draw attention to herself.

Someone else on Twitter called McGowan “annoying AF” and said she should “mind her damn business.”
It’s a shame that Rose McGowan has done so much damage over the past few years that when she finally gets it right, it still comes off as a me moment instead of a true #FreeBritney moment,
