The Toronto Raptors’ forward and center, Pascal Siakam, is likely to get traded to the New York Knicks this offseason. The Knicks had a great last season, and they did enough to build a quality roster. They have a lot of talent on their team, and they had expected Julius Randle to perform so as to replicate what they did last season. But the two-time NBA All-Star is struggling, and so are the Knicks. Should they replace him with Raptors’ Siakam?
The New Mexico State Aggies product played 71 games for the Raptors last season and averaged 24.2 points, 5.8 assists, and 7.8 rebounds per game while shooting 32.4 percent from beyond the arc. The Raptors were speculated to blow their roster this summer but they did not. Should they start doing it now by trading Siakam? Here is all the information you need about the trade between the Toronto Raptors and the New York Knicks involving Pascal Siakam.
What would the Knicks offer for Pascal Siakam?
The Knicks are expected to offer RJ Barrett, Evan Fournier, and one first-round pick each from the years 2024,2026 and 2028 in exchange for the Raptors’ #43 and Otto Porter. Does it fulfill the purpose of both the teams? Are the Raptors finally going to rebuild?

Why would the Knicks like to sign Pascal Siakam?
Julius Randle is inconsistent. He fluctuates between having a good season or a bad one. He has a tendency to bounce back. But when his 3-pointers are not going in, his performance holds the team back. The Knicks want a star who they can rely on and they might trade off Randle if they manage to land Siakam.
Pascal Siakam's role has changed radically.
More time away from the ball and 3x as many off ball screens. Less touches, less time, less drives, less post-ups. More ATB threes.

Why would the Raptors trade-off Pascal Siakam?
The Raptors have a roster young enough to focus on rebuilding, but they have enough star power to contend for the title as well. They might tilt towards rebuilding since their financial condition is a bit messy as well. They are getting two quality players along with three draft picks, which is a great return value.
Will the Raptors contend or rebuild? How will the Knicks line up? We’ll keep you updated.
