The Netflix Original is a docuseries based on nature. Silverback Films created the series and David Attenborough narrated it. Our Planet is the most ambitious documentary of Netflix till date. The viewers have connected really well with the show. The animal kingdom has faced a lot of hardship and the show depicts the real stories.

Sir David Attenborough has travelled all over the world and captured the stunning wildlife footage. His team has travelled to the dense African jungles, the Plains of the Savannah and the frozen Tundras of the Antarctic.
Netflix Renewal Status of Our Planet Season 2
The series has not been renewed for Our Planet Season 2. The news of Our Planet’s renewal won’t be out for at least a few months. Netflix will gather the data of the subscribers who have streamed it before they make a decision regarding its renewal.

Netflix is not the only one that stream docuseries produced by Silverback Films. So it may have to compete with BBC, the British broadcaster for the show’s license. The docuseries took years of production. So it’s a huge commitment by Netflix to produce Our Planet season 2.
Further, Silverback Films may have other plans before it returns to Our Planet.
