Various resources and talks say that Oakland University is planning to buy the Palace of Auburn Hills which is located five miles away from the University campus.
Though sources say that the talks are not been finalized between the University and Tom Gores’ organization. Brian Bierley, University spokesman told the press that he is not aware of such talks.
Since Bob Seger concert’s fall in 2017, no major event got hosted in the hall yet. If Oakland purchases the hall, the place could be used to host Basket Ball Competitions as well as for practice.

For Oakland, this hall would be a second concert venue, since it already owns a 7700 seat venue Meadow Brook Amphitheatre. Two sources told free press that this palace could be turned as Amazon Distribution center.
Palace’s first concert was by Sting and later Michael Jackson’s three shows became remarkable.
