There have been many rumors and speculation as to who the team could target with their pick. Some of the most common prospects linked to the Falcons include Nolan Smith, Christian Gonzalez, Jalen Carter, and Myles Murphy, along the side the potential of Bijan Robinson. However, there have also been rumors that the Falcons may be open to trading their pick for the right deal. It remains to be seen what the Falcons will ultimately do, but it is clear that there is a lot of excitement and anticipation surrounding the team’s plans for the upcoming draft.

Bijan Robinson is the sole standout among the list, while the rest of the names are crucial defensive acquisitions. The priority for Ryan Nielsen, the new coordinator, is either finding a complementary cornerback for A.J. Terrell or strengthening the defensive line.
Successful Atlanta Falcons Trade Deals have strengthened their defensive line with Eddie Goldman, David Onyemata, Kaden Elliss, and Lorenzo Carter, expected to significantly improve the team’s performance in the trenches.
Jalen Carter is a must-have for the Falcons, even with a strong defensive line already in place. With Smith and Murphy as starters, Carter would complete the defensive front for Atlanta.
Why is Bijan Robinson not a good Atlanta Falcons Trade Deal?
Given that the team is focused on rebuilding the defense and creating a well-rounded roster, it would not be wise for the Falcons to use a top-ten pick on a running back. While Robinson is an impressive prospect, selecting him would be a glaring error for Atlanta.

Atlanta Falcons have a clear starter for the running back position in Tyler Allgeier, who finished the season with over 1,000 rushing yards. While adding a third option to keep Allgeier fresh is reasonable, using a first-round pick on a running back like Robinson wouldn’t be wise when the team already has a strong starter. In addition, with both Allgeier and Patterson demanding carries, it would be challenging to use Robinson to his full potential. Instead, the Falcons should focus on adding top-tier pass rushers or corners to pair with Terrell and continue rebuilding their defense.
Drafting Bijan Robinson inside the top ten would be a mistake for the Atlanta Falcons, despite his talent, with better options available on the board. Unless their top options are off the board and a team is willing to trade back, Atlanta should focus on rebuilding their struggling defense. While a trio of Allgeier, Robinson, and Patterson would be entertaining, adding a defensive starter would have a far greater impact on the game. Robinson will have success in NFL wherever he lands, but the Falcons should not be distracted by the impressive prospect and stay focused on their needs.
The Atlanta Falcons should consider adding a receiver in the first round instead of a running back. The team is building its offense around second-year quarterback Desmond Ridder and needs to allow him the opportunity to showcase his skills with a consistent passing attack. While a reliable third running back option is needed, it is not worth spending a top-ten pick on when there are plenty of options in the later rounds and free agency. Adding Bijan Robinson would be entertaining but not the right move for the Atlanta Falcons, who should focus on a more balanced offense and improving their defense through potential trade deals.
