Only a month remains till the NBA trading window is officially thrown open. The Los Angeles Lakers are working hard to recruit the best possible talents, with every indication that they will go hard for Anthony Davis again this window. In fact, they will lay all their cards at the tablet this time around- rumours are that the Lakers are up for trading anybody, except for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and King LeBron James, for Davis.

Anthony Davis might join LA Lakers due to LeBron James

It is an open secret that there is mutual interest between the LA Lakers and Anthony Davis. Davis wishes to move away from the New Orleans Pelicans and play alongside LeBron James. Lakers tried for Davis in the last campaign as well but failed to make a move materialize. The general manager of the Pelicans simply refused to let his power forward go.

According to reports, the Lakers will go again, and this time with even more dedication. They will hold talks with Pelicans and Davis himself and do everything to make him move to the Lakers. And that includes trading anyone, except LeBron and Caldwell-Pope, from their roster. Josh Hart, the LA Lakers guard, was the one who gave these comments. Magic Johnson has reportedly uttered words along these lines as well.

The LA Lakers last attempt to land Davis was made last February. Back then too, Magic Johnson was completely willing to exchange almost all the Lakers for landing Davis. And this included Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, Ivica Zubac, Lonzo Ball, and Hart himself.

The move though fell through, and it did affect the morale of the squad and the trust between the staff.
