Maia Reficco is an American-Argentine actress and singer. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Kally Ponce in the original Nickelodeon Latin America series, Kally’s Mashup.
She is also recognized for her role as Noa Olivar in the Max horror thriller series, Pretty Little Liars, which is the fourth installment in the franchise of the same title.
Early Life & Family
Maia Reficco was born on July 14, 2000, in Boston, Massachusetts. At the age of four, she relocated to Buenos Aires, Argentina, with her family, who have Argentine roots.
From an early age, she demonstrated a passion for music, engaging in singing and playing various instruments, including the guitar, piano, saxophone, and ukulele.
Her mother, Katie Viqueira, is a vocalist and vocal instructor, and she also directs her own Center for Vocal Art. Her father, Ezequiel Reficco, is a faculty member at the University of Los Andes in Bogotá. She has a younger brother named Joaquín Reficco Viqueira, who is also involved in music.
Education
Maia Reficco dedicated eleven years to acrobatics. When she turned fifteen, she journeyed to Los Angeles, where she stayed with Claudia Brant.
This opportunity allowed her to study singing under Eric Vetro, a vocal coach for prominent artists such as Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello, and Shawn Mendes.
She also took part in a five-week program at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she performed exceptionally well and earned a scholarship.

Thanks to Claudia Brant and the social media platform Instagram, Maia Reficco became involved with the Nickelodeon Latin America project Kally’s Mashup.
Brant was responsible for forwarding the covers that Reficco had performed of different artists and posted online, resulting in her being approached by the production team for an audition.
Reficco auditioned with the song ‘Dangerous Woman’ by Ariana Grande. She succeeded in landing the main role in the series as Kally Ponce. Afterward, Reficco signed a contract with Deep Well Records and went to Miami to record music for the series.
On October 19, 2017, she made her first appearance at the Kids’ Choice Awards Argentina, presenting the theme song ‘Key of Life’ for the series.
In August 2018, Reficco took the stage at the Kids’ Choice Awards Mexico, performing the tracks “World’s Collide” and “Unísono” alongside the cast of Kally’s Mashup.
During the same month, she disclosed in an interview with Billboard Argentina that she was in the process of creating her solo record in collaboration with a major label, and she also announced that her debut album would encompass the pop and R&B genres.
At the KCA Argentina 2018, she delivered a performance of the songs ‘World’s Collide’ and ‘Unísono’ alongside the cast of Kally’s Mashup.
Subsequently, on November 7, Maia Reficco took the stage at the Meus Prêmios Nick 2018, where she again performed these songs, this time featuring Alex Hoyer and Lalo Brito for ‘Unísono’; on that same evening, Reficco received the accolade of ‘Favorite TV Artist’.
In 2022, she featured in the Netflix film Do Revenge and played the role of Noa Olivar in the HBO Max series Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin.
