It is the second most viewed trailer from any studio of all time in one day. In just 24 hours, the trailer hit a whopping 224 Million views, only trailing behind Avengers: Infinity War (238M).
The trailer is shot by shot copy of the animated movie released in 1994. The 1994 movie is one of the most classic animated movies of all time and grossed $968.8M in its lifetime. The movie has an Academy Award for the best original song along with two Grammy in its pockets.
The movie was released in 2011 in 3-D but didn’t have much impact, grossing just above $94M.
Lion King is the story of Simba, son of Mufasa. Mufasa was killed by the arch nemesis, Scar. Simba was forced to leave the jungle. The movie describes an amazing journey of realization, courage and emotions of how Simba recaptures his Jungle and becomes the Lion King.
