Update on Khabib vs Tony Ferguson – It Might Happen in 2020
Given the way things are in UFC and the way the cards are stacked, it is not likely that Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Tony Ferguson will happen anytime before 2020. UFC 243 is all about Whittaker vs Adesanya, UFC 244 will be headlined by Diaz vs Masvidal – and UFC 245 is expected to be the fight where McGregor makes his return. Hence, Khabib vs Ferguson is unlikely to happen anytime before 2020.
An interesting detail about this match is that this is the fifth time that a fight between the two will be scheduled (if it happens) twice in the past it was cancelled due to Khabib’s injuries and botched weigh-ins and twice it was cancelled because of Ferguson’s injuries! In 2020, however, this is finally expected to happen.
