Right now, Kevin Hart is in mourning over the passing of his father.
The Me Time actor posted a farewell message on Instagram on Wednesday, October 12 in honor of his father, Henry Witherspoon. In a heartfelt post, he revealed his father had passed away, but he left out the cause of death. Hart expressed his love for his father in his post and asked him to give his mother, Nancy, a hug on his behalf. In 2007, Hart’s mother passed away from cancer. As a result of his father, he said, he is a better father to his own children. He also thanked him for everything he had done for him over the years.
“RIP to one of the realest & rawest to ever do it…Love you dad,” Hart wrote in his caption. “Gone but never forgotten….Give mom a hug for me….y’all did good man. Thank you for everything….I’m a better father because of you ????? We will all make you proud….”
An image collage from the post showed Hart with his father and family on various occasions. In a different post, Hart included only the words “RIP spoon” with a picture of him and his father.
Due to his incarceration and frequent absences from his family’s lives when he was younger, Hart’s relationship with his father was previously strained. The comedian recently asserted that he made the decision to forgive him and put their issues in the past.
